Better Than In-N-Out

March 27, 2013 by Long Pham

I’m probably touching on a sensitive topic for most people, but I think The Habit is better than In-N-Out. Yeah, I said it, and I’ll say it again. The Habit is better than In-N-Out.

Two reasons. The Habit burger patties are well seasoned and the fries are crispy. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll dig into a cheeseburger or a Double-Double from In-N-Out anytime. It’s just that their patty is lacking, and the fresh cut fries are only fried once. French fries are my favorite. So, when they’re only fried once, the texture leaves something to be desired.

Everyone should know that twice fried fries (once at a lower temperature to cook the potato, and again at a higher temperature) are the best. It leaves the fry with a crispy shell and a creamy center. It’s actually the reason why McDonald’s fries are so successful.

The Habit is my currently go to restaurant when I’m craving a good burger. I’ve yet to have anything else on their menu other than the Charburger, fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings. I’ll get to the rest eventually. They’re really just a distraction from the main attraction.

The Habit – Anaheim

I usually get the single Charburger, but I was especially hungry this night.

Jeannie said the pineapple slice tasted like it came from a can. On the plus side, the sweet potato fries were pretty awesome.
