Yeah, I wouldn’t exactly call it “Fine Asian Dining” myself, but it’ll do. There are only a couple of Chinese restaurants near me, and none of them serve authentic Chinese food. They’re all some form of the American expectation of what Chinese food is. Still, I occasionally crave Orange Chicken or some other popular estranged Chinese dish.
When the Chinese fast food place I like is closed, Pink Chopstix is second on my list. Again, keep in mind that I have very limited options around me (minus the chain restaurants) and it’s the best I can do. That’s all.
Pink Chopstix – Yorba Linda
Egg Flower Soup. It’s pretty tasteless. I only got it because it came with the lunch special. I think the other choice is Hot & Sour Soup, and it’s exactly that.
The house special beef here is like the one at Pick Up Stix. You can get a chicken version as well. The main course is pretty good, but the rice is really dry here. I’m actually not a fan of most of the rice I run into at any Chinese restaurant.
Only get this if you’re really into garlic. It’s super garlicky. I think the seafood is from the previously frozen variety, so if you can get over that, it’s actually a pretty good noodle dish.
Talk to me, Goose.
