You need an optical drive to install software. I haven’t found a need to burn any Blu-ray discs to date, but Blu-ray burners are cheap. So, I got a Blu-ray burner.
ASUS Blu-ray Burner
I bought the ASUS BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS 12X Blu-ray Internal Burner Drive with Disc Encryption – Black – Retail Box. It does Blu-ray stuff. It does DVD stuff. It does CD stuff. Basically, it spins a plastic disc that has some kind of foil in between and shoots lasers at it. Anything that shoots lasers is awesome. I like awesome.
