Oh GEN. How it’s hard to stay away.
This visit was a late dinner following a birthday party that we attended. Service was a lot better and Alyssa was asleep most of the time, so it was a much better visit. We got to try a couple items we haven’t had, as well as our favorites like Marinated Beef Short Rib.
I still hate the grill changes while I’m in the middle of cooking my food. I try to turn them down, at least until I can get a round of meat cooked, but someone always comes by and takes it on themselves to change the grill. It’s annoying to have the partially cooked meat get transferred onto a cold grill. Seriously, if someone from GEN is reading this, you need to tell your employees to improve their timing on grill changes. I don’t care how good your ventilation system is, or how smoky the grills can get. If you go eat at a cook-it-yourself Korean BBQ restaurant, you should expect to come out smelling a little bit smoky. Therefore, take it easy with the grill swapping!
