If you are a do-it-yourself kind of person like I am, you rely on personal finance management and tax software to stay fiscally organized and stay up to date with the latest changes in the tax code. Unless you’ve got a painfully complex situation, it’s rather easy and not unreasonably time consuming to take care of these matters by yourself. Thankfully, with technology, we don’t have to fumble through loads of paperwork and reading to make it through the tax season.
Intuit recently notified me of two big sales they are having on their Quicken and TurboTax products. These are great ways to stay on top of your personal finance situation and get walked through your tax return without having to pay someone (who is going to enter all your information in a piece of software anyway) to do it.
Quicken Limited Time 50% Off Discount Promotion
For the next five days, Intuit is offering a savings of 50% off on Quicken Deluxe, or any higher software version. This offer is good from 2/5/2015 through 2/9/2015 and applies to both PC and Mac versions. You don’t need any coupon code, and you can purchase up to 5 products per order with free shipping.
I personally use the Quicken software to track my finances, and have done so for many years. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in an easy way to organize maintain good records of their financial lives. With the software, you can automatically download transactions from your existing accounts, making it easy and quick to manage everything. Or, you can do like I do, and manually track your finances.
If you’ve never used the software before, or are interested in learning more about how to use Quicken, you can watch my video tutorial series.
TurboTax is Now 25% Off
Just as I have used Quicken for many years, I have relied on TurboTax to do my own/file my taxes for over ten years. My financial life has grown from being a single person with a part time job to a being married with dual incomes, a house, a business, and two children (and two dogs to boot!).
TurboTax has never failed me through all these years. Whether you’re filing a simple 1040EZ or a complex 1040 with a Schedule C and a bunch of other mandatory forms for interest and investment income, TurboTax will help walk you through the entire process painlessly.
For a limited time, you can save 25% off TurboTax Deluxe, Premier, and Home & Business editions. As always, if you have a simple tax return, you can always use TurboTax to file your federal and state taxes for free.
This year, TurboTax is also offering a bonus on your tax refund if you use at least $100 of your federal tax refund to purchase an Amazon gift card.
- TurboTax will add an extra 5% to your e-gift card if you are using the CD/download version of Basic.
- TurboTax will add an extra 10% to your e-gift card if you are using the CD/download version of Deluxe, Premier or Home & Business and, for a limited time, the online/mobile version of Deluxe, Premier or Home & Business.
To get the discount on TurboTax, just visit the website and start your tax return. No coupon or promotion code needed. If you don’t have all the forms you need to file yet, start with the ones you do have and you can always return and finish later. Keep in mind that if you need to use the Deluxe, Premier, or Home & Business editions, you will have to pay extra to file your state return using TurboTax.
