When the conversation about where to eat comes up, we often ask, “Do you want sushi?”
We never ask where. We just go to Taiko.
Taiko Japanese Restaurant – Irvine
The Number 4 Special is a mixture of fish, crab meat, avocado, and sauce baked in two lumps and served over a leaf of lettuce. It’s a pretty crazy mix of foods, but very creamy and delicious. I wouldn’t attempt to eat one by myself – definitely for sharing.
Salmon, Mackerel, Scallop, and Yellowtail Nigiri. Good quality sushi.
I must admit something. For as long as I’ve been coming here, I didn’t know that Taiko made a Volcano Roll. I found out about it on Yelp and had to try immediately. Because of the high quality ingredients, this roll definitely stands out over the similar ones made elsewhere.
My favorite. The Eel California Special. I order it every time I eat at Taiko.
The Ninja Roll is a Soft Shell Crab Roll. They usually make it as a five piece giant sized roll. If you want bite size pieces like this, ask them to make it “skinny.”
Talk to me, Goose.
