Tsukasa is a restaurant located at the food court in the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Costa Mesa. There are a lot of choices for food here. Most of the restaurants have displays of fake food that can help you figure out what you want to eat. Most of the people go for the obvious choices, but you can go for the less obvious choice and have a more authentic Japanese meal.
Tsukasa specializes in beef tongue, known as gyutan. If you never have had beef tongue before, you’re in for a treat. Prepared properly, it’s a very tender dish – not what you’d expect it to feel or taste like.
Tsukasa – Costa Mesa
The Lunch Box special. It comes with an order of beef tongue (gyutan), some pickled greens, a side of rice, and a thick sour paste (if you know what it is, please let me know).
