If you felt like hitting the Soju hard and having good eats while watching a game, Hashigo Korean Kitchen in Costa Mesa is the place to go. If I wasn’t watching my cholesterol, I’d be hitting plate after plate of Chicken Wings and pounding Soju to numb any sensation of fullness. Since I can’t do that, I do the next best thing. Go with a few friends and have a little of everything.
This was my second visit to the tiny restaurant. I found the food to be consistent to that of my first trip, so that’s a good sign. Just keep in mind that this place isn’t really designed for kids. I spent most of my time outside with Alyssa so she wouldn’t disturb the other patrons. Go during happy hour if you can. The specials vary, but they usually have good choices. You will never regret!
Hashigo Korean Kitchen – Costa Mesa
Glorious Chicken Wings. Crunchy perfection! Are those two plates of it you see? Yes. Yes it is.
The infamous Korrito. Korrito = Korean Burrito? I would have never ordered this on my own, but it was freakin’ delicious! Bulgolgi, Rice, and Kimchi wrapped up in a tortilla, topped with a spicy Tofu Soup/Sauce.
Kimchi Fried Rice topped with a fried egg. What’s not to love?
Grilled Chicken. Tender and moist. I just wish the onions were more caramelized.
Talk to me, Goose.
